West Point Eagles

This short-lived eagle nest near West Point, Ohio stood in a dead tree along the roadside before a powerful spring storm sent it crashing down, killing the young eaglets but sparing the adult pair. The images in this gallery capture the brief life of the nest and its devoted parents, preserving a moving story of wild hope, sudden loss, and the resilience of Bald Eagles in Ohio’s recovering population.
